The World bank's willingness to support the revenue sector - mor
The Ministry of Revenues and the World Bank discussed ways to upsurge the revenue sector.
Minister of Revenues, Mrs. Aynalem Nigussie said that the World Bank is willing to support the country’s effort to cover the national disbursement with national income. To achieve this super-ambitious plan building a modern tax management system is mandatory according to her.
State Minister of Revenues Mr. Tesfaye Tullu on his side said that the World Bank is one of the partners that is working to support the revenues sector.
The institution aimed to support the sector on policy issues, boosting the domestic tax, and improving service delivery and technology according to him.
The document pertaining to the issue was presented by Mr.Rajul Awasti who represented the World Bank delegation.
In his presentation, he stated that the World Bank would keep supporting the country by enhancing its technology capabilities to boost the amount of money collected from voluntary taxpayers.
