Ministry of Revenues holds discussion on domestic tax and customs partnership with South Sudan

H.E Zemede Tefera, State Minister at the Ministry of Revenues hold discussion with South Sudan delegation on revenue collection and international customs service. The State Minister said that the two countries shared not only border but also people and culture so the need of cooperation for the benefit and prosperity of both countries is highly demanded.

The delegation explained that South Sudan want to share Ethiopia’s experience on the Tax Collection and International Customs procedure. Ambassador of South Sudan to Ethiopia H.E David Dang expressed his feeling of considering Ethiopia as his second home. The Ambassador appreciated Ethiopia’s support to the people of South Sudan during the time of hardship.

An agreement is expected to be signed after technique team from both countries has detail discussion to make the cooperation on domestic tax and customs service viable for the mutual benefit of both countries from border trade.
